Early Steps
Early Steps helps young children of color enroll in NYC independent schools as kindergarteners or first graders.
Educational Records Bureau, ERB
ERB is the trusted leader in assessment and data-driven insights for independent school educators and families, supporting the growth of the whole child.
New York Interschool
New York Interschool is a consortium of eight Manhattan independent schools known for their high academic standards, outstanding teaching, and traditions of quality.
New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS)
NYSAIS is a voluntary association of over 200 independent nursery, elementary, and secondary schools enrolling over 80,000 students. It is affiliated with the National Association of Independent Schools and the New York State Coalition for Independent and Religious Schools. Founded in 1947, the Association is chartered by the New York State Board of Regents and is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Oliver Scholars
Oliver Scholars prepares high-achieving Black and Latinx students from underserved New York City communities for success at top independent schools and prestigious colleges.
Prep for Prep
Prep for Prep’s mission is to develop future leaders by creating access for young people of color to first-rate educational, leadership development and professional advancement opportunities.
The TEAK Fellowship
TEAK is a free program that helps talented students from low-income families achieve their potential. Through intensive after school and summer classes, TEAK prepares middle school students to get into the nation’s most selective high schools and colleges.

Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY)
A nonprofit association of independent schools in the greater New York area, ISAAGNY serves its member schools by setting guidelines on admissions practices and procedures, such as common notification dates, to help ensure a fair and professional admission process for families and schools.
The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS)
A nonprofit membership organization whose mission is to be the national voice of independent schools and the center for collective action on their behalf.
The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS)
A membership organization of college preparatory boarding schools in the United States, Canada and abroad, TABS mission is to promote awareness and understanding of boarding schools. It is a comprehensive resource for both educators and families.
International Boys’ Schools Coalition (IBSC)
Founded in 1995, the International Boys’ Schools Coalition is a nonprofit organization of schools dedicated to the education and development of boys worldwide, the professional growth of those who work with them, and the advocacy and advancement of institutions—primarily schools for boys—that serve them.
